ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

PURPOSE:

Responsible for the design, installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in wastewater treatment plants, package treatment plants, and pumping stations. Ensures safe, reliable, and efficient electrical operations to support uninterrupted wastewater treatment processes.

ROLES & RESPOSIBILITIES :

· Corrective/ Preventive Maintenance for all the electrical equipment by utilizing internal and external Maximo systems.

· Prepare the required budget.

· Issue reports and modifications, recommending suitable actions to minimize or eliminate recurrence of the problems.

· Detect any malfunction on electrical equipment and troubleshoot any installation.

· Support electrical staff and the team building.

· Prepare the spare parts plan, overhauling plan.

· Prepare and execute plant improvement plan, covering any improvement ideas in addition to replacing the obsolete equipment with relevant and recent replacements.

· Assist purchasing department in specification of items for purchase, spare parts detail, and other day-to-day jobs, as and when required.

· Supervise electrical maintenance work.

· Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.

· Perform other job-related duties assigned, responding immediately to equipment breakdowns, prepare SMP (Standard Maintenance Procedures).

· Assist in the identification of hand over system and snag listing to ensure systems are handed over to the O&M in a smooth, safe, and efficient manner.

· Liaise with client, suppliers, contractors, and relevant authorities.

· Report incidents that present or have the potential to represent a loss to the organization. These include occupational injuries / illness, security, environmental incidents and product and severe non-conformances, to prevent recurrences.

· Carry out other tasks assigned.

Experience:

· Minimum 7 years of experience in the maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.

Education: Degree in Engineering in Electrical or similar experience

Others: UPDA Certified Engineer / to obtain this year

Language: English (written and verbal communication)
