The position

Role Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for surveying, designing, documentation, BOQs preparation, supervision, and implementation of electrical and allied systems at project sites including Lahore Fort, ensuring compliance with conservation requirements, safety standards, and organizational procedures.

Responsibilities:
Surveying & Assessment
  • Conduct surveys and assess existing electrical infrastructure and site conditions.
  • Evaluate requirements for maintenance, upgradation, and new installations.
Design & Proposals
  • Develop complete design proposals for electrical works.
  • Design temporary electrical connections at the start of new projects to facilitate site operations.
Documentation & BOQs
  • Prepare complete BOQs for electrical, illumination, HVAC, surveillance, and fire alarm systems.
  • Develop detailed drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
Implementation & Supervision
  • Monitor and supervise electrical works at site.
  • Provide technical guidance to site electricians regarding conduiting, cabling, and placement of switches, sockets, and lighting fixtures.
Coordination & Technical Support
  • Maintain close interaction with Electrical Consultants on a need basis.
  • Coordinate with Project In-charge and consultants for provision of spaces for WAPDA meter panels and distribution boards as per working drawings.
Materials & Procurement Support
  • Prepare material requirements for site execution.
  • Coordinate with Procurement Officer and Project In-charge for timely arrangement of materials.
Reporting & Studies
  • Prepare monthly progress reports.
  • Develop feasibility studies and technical proposals as required.
Infrastructure Maintenance
  • Oversee maintenance and upgradation of existing electrical infrastructure.
Compliance and Policy Implementation
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with safety standards, local regulations, and AKCSP policies.
  • Promote energy-efficient and sustainable solutions where feasible.
Miscellaneous Duties
  • Undertake additional technical tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Provide support to the project team to achieve overall project objectives.

The requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in relevant field.
Skills and Abilities:
  • AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in electrical design and drafting software(ETAP and DialuxEvo)
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards
  • MS Office
  • Strong coordination and problem-solving skills

  • The position is based in Lahore.
