Electrical Engineer

Role Overview:

Responsible for design, installation, testing, and maintenance of all electrical systems on construction projects. Ensures work is safe, on time, and meets UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review electrical drawings, load schedules, and BOQs. Raise RFIs for design gaps
  • Supervise installation of LV/MV systems: DBs, SMDBs, cabling, containment, lighting, small power, ELV systems
  • Coordinate with DEWA/SEWA/FEWA for approvals, inspections, and final connections
  • Conduct testing & commissioning: megger test, earth resistance, polarity, lux levels.
  • Prepare T&C reports
  • Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and material submittals for client approval
  • Monitor site progress and ensure work meets approved drawings, specs, and Dubai Municipality/DEWA regulations
  • Liaise with civil, MEP, and architectural teams to avoid clashes and resolve site issues
  • Inspect material deliveries and verify compliance with approved submittals
  • Manage subcontractors and electricians. Allocate tasks and check workmanship qualityTrack site variations and prepare documents for claims
  • Attend client/consultant meetings and site walks. Close out snag lists and NCRs
  • Ensure all electrical work follows safety standards. Coordinate with HSE team for PTW
  • Maintain as-built drawings and O&M manuals for project handove

Requirements:

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

Experience: 3–5+ years in UAE/GCC construction projects

Certifications: DEWA approved preferred. Society of Engineers card a plus

Skills: AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux. Strong knowledge of BS 7671, DEWA regs, and local codes

Other: Valid UAE driving license preferred
