Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the technical and engineering functions of ongoing construction projects. The role involves reviewing design documents, preparing technical submissions, coordinating with suppliers, and providing technical support to site teams. The ideal candidate should have strong technical office experience within MEP or electrical contracting projects.

Mandatory Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience:

• 8–10 years of experience in Technical Office functions within construction or MEP projects

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and MEP coordination
• Experience in reviewing IFC drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Proficiency in material take-off and quantity estimation
• Experience in preparing technical submittals, method statements, and O&M manuals
• Good understanding of procurement processes and supplier coordination
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications

Mandatory Criteria:

• Proven experience in electrical technical office operations
• Ability to identify design discrepancies and prepare RFIs
• Strong communication and coordination skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify IFC drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for electrical systems.
• Identify design issues, discrepancies, and prepare RFIs for consultant/client review.
• Prepare material take-offs and quantity calculations for electrical systems.
• Develop technical documents including method statements, reports, material submittals, and O&M manuals.
• Coordinate and support draftsmen in preparing and submitting shop drawings.
• Manage procurement activities and follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery.
• Review supplier quotations and technical offers for compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare and submit technical material submittals for consultant approval.
• Provide technical support and engineering solutions to resolve site-related issues.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
