Job Discription: Electrical Engineer – Technical Office (8–10 Years Experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and check IFC drawings, specifications, and all electrical system design documents.
- Conduct technical reviews of IFC documentation and identify design issues, discrepancies, and conflicts.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Prepare material take-offs and quantity estimations for all electrical systems.
- Develop technical documentation, reports, method statements, operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals, and related project documents.
- Coordinate with and support draftsmen in the preparation and submission of shop drawings.
- Manage procurement activities and follow up with suppliers for various electrical systems and materials.
- Review supplier quotations and technical offers to ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements.
- Prepare and submit technical material submittals and supporting documentation.
- Provide technical support to site teams and assist in resolving engineering and construction issues.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely approval of technical submissions and material procurements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8–10 years of experience in MEP projects, with a strong background in Technical Office activities.
- Proficiency in reviewing electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Experience in material take-offs, shop drawing coordination, and technical submittals.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, international standards, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other relevant engineering software.
