Electrical Engineer – Arar

Position Objective

To ensure compliance with Customer standards and specifications while strengthening site supervision and progress monitoring of UG, OHTL, and substation works. The role supports timely project delivery through effective coordination, enhances quality control and documentation accuracy, and ensures adherence to safety and operational requirements, particularly in remote project locations.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical construction activities for underground cables (UG), overhead transmission lines (OHTL), and substations.
• Monitor daily site progress and ensure alignment with project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
• Review and verify design drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation for compliance with project requirements.
• Review, validate, and certify as-built drawings and test record documentation.
• Ensure all installation activities comply with SEC standards, specifications, and approved designs.
• Support implementation of project control procedures, including planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Coordinate outage requirements and support site execution planning activities.
• Monitor QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with HSE standards at site.
• Conduct site inspections, identify issues, and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit progress reports and maintain accurate site documentation.
• Support overall project documentation, reporting, and coordination requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in transmission or power infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience in UG cable, OHTL, and substation projects is mandatory.
• Experience working under SEC standards and specifications is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transmission construction, installation, and site execution practices.
• Experience in project monitoring, site supervision, and contractor coordination.
• Familiarity with project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting tools.
• Experience working in remote or site-based project environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and HSE compliance requirements.

• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
