Electrical Engineer (Design and Construction – TAQA Approved)

Job Summary:

Manage and supervise electrical works on building and infrastructure projects. Ensure all installations are completed in line with project specifications and TAQA authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare design and load calculation as per the standard engineering and regulations.
• Estimation and material take off
• Preparing projects BOQ
• Preparing shop drawings and as built drawings
• Full awareness of TAQA portal for submission, approvals and projects handing over process.
• Supervise day-to-day electrical construction activities on site
• Manage installation of LV systems, cable trays, conduits, panels, and lighting systems
• Oversee MV works including cable laying, duct banks, and coordination for external connections
• Ensure work is executed as per approved shop drawings and method statements
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and other trades on site
• Raise Inspection Requests (IRs) and follow up for consultant/TAQA approvals
• Ordering materials and follow up with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and ADDC/AADC regulations
• Monitor subcontractors’ work quality and progress
• Maintain site documentation including daily reports and as-built drawings
• Ensure health and safety standards are strictly followed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• TAQA Approval (mandatory for Abu Dhabi projects)
• 3–8 years of UAE. experience in construction/MEP electrical works.
• UAE Valid driving licence.
• Strong experience in site execution (not design-focused)
• Well knowledge of LV systems and basic MV infrastructure coordination
• Excellent ability to prepare, read and interpret electrical drawings as per the latest software.
• Good coordination and communication skills

Preferred:

• UAE construction project experience
• Exposure to utility coordination (ADDC/AADC)

Excellent QA/QC documentation knowledge
