Electrical Engineer - Design Reviewer

Job description:

• Oversight & Compliance: Oversee the erection of electrical installations, distribution networks, etc., ensuring strict conformance with the Contract, technical specifications, and the approved detailed design.
• On-Site Presence: Available on-site on a full-time basis.
• Project & Team Collaboration: Maintain a committed team ethic alongside the client, colleagues, and contractors to verify that work is satisfactorily completed within the allocated time, budget, and required technical standards.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship through the impartial observation of testing where appropriate (e.g., cables, lights, and other electrical fixtures as delivered and placed, etc.).
• Inspections & Reporting: Attend inspection requests submitted by the Contractor; authorize the work to proceed ("go ahead") or generate non-compliance reports if the inspected work does not meet satisfactory standards.
• Defect Rectification: Assist in ensuring that all defects are satisfactorily remedied during the liability period.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of 15 years of cumulative professional experience.
• Within the total experience, a minimum of 6 years must be directly related to the erection of electrical installations and distribution networks for similar projects.
• Must have served on at least 2 projects of a similar nature in a similar capacity.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are currently full-time employees of a consultant firm with at least 2 years of tenure.
