Job Purpose
To plan, design, install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems in compliance with UAE standards and DEWA regulations, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities1. Design & Planning
- Prepare electrical system designs, drawings, load calculations, and technical specifications as per DEWA and local authority requirements.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical documents for construction and operational projects.
- Ensure proper sizing and selection of electrical equipment, cables, and panels per DEWA regulations.
2. Installation, Testing & Maintenance
- Supervise and oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
3. Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with DEWA, UAE Civil Defense, and other relevant regulations.
- Prepare and submit required DEWA documentation, approvals, and certificates for new and existing electrical projects.
- Maintain detailed technical records, reports, and compliance documentation.
4. Project & Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and project teams for electrical procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Review quotations, technical proposals, and vendor documents to ensure compliance with DEWA standards.
- Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
5. Operations Support & Optimization
- Monitor electrical energy consumption and recommend improvements for energy efficiency.
- Support operational teams in resolving electrical issues and implementing upgrades.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- DEWA Certified Electrical Engineer (mandatory).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical design, maintenance, or project execution in UAE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes, DEWA regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
