Electrical Engineer – Division Head

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to establish and lead a new Electrical Division within our growing contracting company in Abu Dhabi. This is a strategic leadership role that requires deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to operate independently.

The selected candidate will be responsible for setting up the division from scratch, handling everything from project bidding and execution to team building and client management.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and lead the Electrical Division, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and team structuring.

Identify business opportunities, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and handle bidding processes for electrical projects.

Oversee the execution of electrical works including LV/MV installations, wiring, cabling, distribution panels, lighting, and load calculations.

Ensure all electrical work complies with local regulations, standards, and client specifications.

Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and procurement related to electrical projects.

Coordinate with civil and MEP teams to ensure smooth integration and progress of electrical works across projects.

Build and lead a team of electricians and junior engineers as needed.

Maintain budgets, timelines, and quality standards across all electrical activities.

Represent the electrical division in meetings with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (licensed engineer preferred).

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in electrical contracting, with proven leadership and project management skills.

Solid knowledge of UAE electrical codes, ADDC requirements, and safety regulations.

Experience in preparing BOQs, drawings, load schedules, and material submittals.

Ability to independently manage clients, teams, and entire project lifecycles.

Strong commercial awareness and ability to price and win projects competitively.

Excellent communication and reporting skills.

UAE driving license is mandatory.
