The Work
This is an opportunity for candidates experienced in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines interested in putting their skills to work as an Electrical Engineer.
Position spans the technology development life-cycle, including requirements generation, electrical design of electrical components including Custom Designed Circuit Card Assemblies(CCAs), Production Support, Testing and Test Support at Navy Test Facilities and Failure and Root Cause Analysis.
Responsibilities include research, design, test, and integration of electronic components and equipment in a military environment. Candidate will analyze, define and design mainly custom designed hardware in close collaboration with mechanical engineers, and firmware / Software engineers to ensure subsystems are integrated and functioning together correctly. Additional responsibilities include drawing and documentation creation, End-of-life components replacement and collaboration with configuration management troubleshooting issues, test planning; and execution, as well as failure analysis of failed components.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college, related discipline and/or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3+ years of professional experience.
- Working knowledge of electronic lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
- Documentation and drawing creation and updates.
- Test procedure development and execution
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Experience with troubleshooting electronics at the component / circuit board level, including batteries, DC/DC converters, Inverters, and embedded FPGAs and micro-processors.
- Experience with piezo-electric sensors and transducers is a plus.
- Some military design experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks.
- LabVIEW experience and knowledge are a plus.
- Motivated and self-starter with excellent communications skills.
