The Work
This is an opportunity for candidates experienced in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines interested in putting their skills to work as an Electrical Engineer.

Position spans the technology development life-cycle, including requirements generation, electrical design of electrical components including Custom Designed Circuit Card Assemblies(CCAs), Production Support, Testing and Test Support at Navy Test Facilities and Failure and Root Cause Analysis.

Responsibilities include research, design, test, and integration of electronic components and equipment in a military environment. Candidate will analyze, define and design mainly custom designed hardware in close collaboration with mechanical engineers, and firmware / Software engineers to ensure subsystems are integrated and functioning together correctly. Additional responsibilities include drawing and documentation creation, End-of-life components replacement and collaboration with configuration management troubleshooting issues, test planning; and execution, as well as failure analysis of failed components.

Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Requirements review
  • Documentation and drawing creation and updates.
  • Circuit Card Schematic Capture and Layout.
  • Test Procedure Development and Execution
  • Failure Analysis and root cause analysis
  • Support of limited Environmental Test and Analysis
  • End-of-Life assessment and evaluation

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college, related discipline and/or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of electronic lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Documentation and drawing creation and updates.
  • Test procedure development and execution
experience in Circuit Card Schematic Capture and Layout.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with troubleshooting electronics at the component / circuit board level, including batteries, DC/DC converters, Inverters, and embedded FPGAs and micro-processors.
  • Experience with piezo-electric sensors and transducers is a plus.
  • Some military design experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks.
  • LabVIEW experience and knowledge are a plus.
  • Motivated and self-starter with excellent communications skills.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
