Electrical Engineer - PLC

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance work on mechanical and electrical systems, including inspections, cleanings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in manufacturing systems.
• Support in training of new employees in using new automation technologies.
• Preparation of technical documentation, operating instructions and training material
• Design and optimization of automation solutions for production using PLC controllers.
• Programming and commissioning of PLC controllers, safety controllers and HMI systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable production operations
• Functional tests and performance tests on automation systems, troubleshooting and optimization of control programs
• Implement and improve electrical safety standards and protocols.
• Analyze and optimize electrical systems to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and reports
• Creation of machine safety concepts and machine data concepts
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering.
• Introduction of Industry 4.0 technologies (such as 3D printing, AMR, predictive maintenance, simulation, ...)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 5 + years of experience in a similar position in BMU industry.
• Strong Experience with PLC Controllers
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience in the rental domain is a plus.
• Ability to conduct educational sessions for technicians on various electrical components and concepts.
• Capability to ensure regulatory compliance and perform quality assurance on engineering activities.
• Proficiency in Ecodial / AutoCAD Electric software.
