Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team working on an innovative power generation project for a state-of-the-art facility. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and optimization of a combined heat and power (CHP) cogeneration system, including natural gas infrastructure and energy storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer power generation systems
- Develop and implement combined heat and power (CHP) cogeneration solutions to maximize energy efficiency
- Design electrical infrastructure for on-site power plant operations, including natural gas generation systems
- Plan and integrate energy storage systems to ensure continuous power supply and load balancing
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, construction teams, and facility operations
- Ensure all designs meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Proven design experience in electrical systems and power generation
- High voltage electrical systems experience required
- Knowledge of cogeneration (CHP) systems and natural gas power generation
- Experience with energy storage technologies and integration
- Strong understanding of critical infrastructure
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (NEC, NFPA, etc.)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience with power plant design and construction
- Knowledge of microgrid systems and distributed energy resources
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design software
- Strong project management and communication skills
