Electrical Engineer (R&D)

Our company is the sister firm of IZHAR construction company Pvt Ltd. Accurate Pvt, Ltd (Digital Meters Manufacturing firm) is seeking a full-time on-site Electrical/Electronic Engineer (R&D) to join our team at Sundar Estates (Accurate Factory)

Key Responsibilities:

The Electrical/Electronic Engineer (R&D) will be responsible for testing, evaluating, and validating energy meters as per WAPDA, national, and international standards. The role involves collaborating closely with the product development team to ensure design maturity, reliability, and compliance. The engineer will participate in product improvement activities, test automation, and technical documentation to support the launch of high-quality energy metering products.

1. Testing & Validation

• Perform detailed testing of energy meters according to WAPDA specifications, IEC/ANSI standards, and company requirements.
• Conduct functional, environmental, accuracy, mechanical, and electrical performance tests.
• Analyze meter behavior under different load, voltage, and environmental conditions.
• Validate firmware and hardware performance during product development cycles.

2. Product Development Support

• Work closely with the design and development team to identify issues, propose solutions, and validate design changes.
• Participate in product reviews and provide technical inputs to improve meter performance and compliance.
• Assist in maturing the product from prototype to production-ready stage.

3. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Document all test results, observations, and deviations in structured formats.
• Prepare technical reports, corrective action recommendations, and product validation summaries.
• Maintain accurate testing records and support quality assurance

4. Lab & Equipment Management

• Operate and maintain testing instruments such as reference meters, test benches, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and environmental chambers.
• Ensure calibration, proper usage, and safety of lab equipment.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Liaise with firmware, hardware, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and technicians when required.
• Support field teams in troubleshooting and evaluating meters.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (B.E./BS).
• Strong understanding of electrical measurements, circuits, and power systems.
• Knowledge of WAPDA, IEC, ANSI, or other metering standards.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments (multimeters, power sources, oscilloscopes, analyzers).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with energy meter development or type-testing.
• Understanding of embedded systems, firmware basics, and communication protocols
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good report writing and documentation skills.
