Job description

The Project Engineer role is an on-site role that involves actively managing ongoing solar power projects on site, ensuring timely execution and delivery/commissioning of commercial and industrial solar projects for the firm.

Solar AC/DC Systems: Supervise the installation and commissioning of solar AC/DC systems for the rooftop solar power plant. Ensure all electrical systems are correctly configured and operational, following safety standards and project specifications.

Module Mounting Systems (MMS) Erection: Oversee the erection of Module Mounting Systems (MMS), ensuring proper alignment and stability. Coordinate with the installation team to ensure MMS is installed according to design specifications and manufacturer guidelines.

Module Installation: Supervise the installation of solar modules onto the MMS and solar tables. Ensure proper alignment, secure mounting, and connection of modules to optimize system performance.

Erection & Commissioning: Lead the overall erection and commissioning activities, ensuring all components and systems are installed, tested, and operational. Perform initial system checks, troubleshooting, and adjustments to confirm proper functionality before project handover.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and standards during installation and commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all installation and commissioning activities. Prepare and submit reports on progress, issues encountered, and completed tasks to the Project Manager.

Coordination & Communication: Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status, schedules, and any issues that arise.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure all installations meet required standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and tests to verify the integrity and functionality of the installed systems.

Position Requirements:

· BE (Electrical) graduate with degree from a reputed university or affiliate.

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in site management of solar PV projects in Rooftop.

· Quantitatively/Number oriented, good communication skills and calm under pressure.

· Ability to communicate smoothly with labor teams as well as senior management.
