Electrical Engineer (Substation)

Location: UAE

Experience: Minimum 8 Years in UAE

Qualification: BE in Electrical Engineering

Preference: Experience with TRANSCO, ADDC, DEWA, or similar authorities

Voltage Levels: 220kV / 132kV Substations

Role Overview

The Assistant Resident Engineer – Electrical (Substation Protection) will support the Resident Engineer in supervising and managing all electrical and protection-related activities within 220kV, and 132kV high-voltage substation projects . The role ensures compliance with technical standards, regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and approved engineering designs throughout project execution and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer as required in accordance with the project needs.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections for protection and electrical works in 220/132kV substations .
• Liaise and coordinate with all technical disciplines to maintain seamless execution of works.
• Attend Site Technical Coordination Meetings to discuss contractor submissions, shop drawings, and construction matters.
• Inspect and monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with Contract Documents and accepted engineering practices.
• Ensure adherence to approved method statements, drawings, layouts, and protection schemes.
• Witness site activities, testing, commissioning, and protection system validations.
• Assist the Resident Engineer during final inspections, certification of completion, and project handover.
• Ensure that safety standards and measures on site are adequate and strictly followed.
