Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain 220kV substation equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, and busbars.
- Perform relay testing, setting, and calibration (including numerical and electromechanical relays).
- Manage day-to-day operations of solar power plant systems including string inverters, SCADA monitoring, and fault diagnosis.
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure system reliability and reduce unplanned outages.
- Conduct transformer maintenance, oil testing, IR value testing, and tap changer inspections.
- Handle VCB operation and periodic maintenance including mechanism checks and insulation testing.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports for management and clients.
- Supervise and coordinate with a team of 50+ technicians, ensuring safe work practices and compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults, implement corrective actions, and coordinate with OEMs for major issues.
- Expertise in high-voltage equipment (up to 220kV)
- Sound knowledge of relay coordination and protection systems
- Hands-on experience with solar PV operations
- Proficient in preventive and breakdown maintenance
- Strong leadership and team management
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Familiar with safety protocols and permit-to-work systems
- Knowledge of tools for machine learning and developing algorithms for energy data analysis.
- Practical Knowledge of SCADA Architecture & Software development like – Iconics, SQL, GX works, Java.
- Government liasioning for electricity, water & Gas supply
