Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and Development
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems, components, and equipment.
- Create electrical schematics, circuit layouts, and system diagrams.
- Develop prototypes and test them to ensure design feasibility and efficiency.
- Project Planning and Management
- Plan and oversee electrical engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Estimate costs, materials, and timelines for projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, software, etc.) to ensure project success.
- Installation and Maintenance
- Supervise installation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure systems are installed safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve electrical faults.
- Testing and Quality Assurance
- Conduct performance, reliability, and safety tests on electrical systems.
- Analyze test data and prepare technical reports.
- Ensure designs comply with safety standards and electrical codes (e.g., IEEE, NEC, IEC).
- Research and Innovation
- Research new technologies and materials to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Develop innovative solutions for power generation, distribution, and automation.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, specifications, and user manuals.
- Maintain accurate project records and progress reports.
- Present findings, proposals, and results to stakeholders or management.
- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to legal, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols.
- Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing, operations, or maintenance teams.
- Train technicians or junior engineers on electrical systems and equipment.
