Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and electrical systems, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of electricians, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of electricians on various construction projects.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and timelines through effective project scheduling.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project tracking and documentation.
- Manage contracts and oversee budgeting for electrical components of projects.
- Perform construction estimating to provide accurate cost assessments for electrical work.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed on the job site in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on electrical systems.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 for project scheduling and HeavyBid for estimating is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction site experience, including managing multiple trades.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to electrical work.
- Knowledge of quality control processes within the construction industry.
- Ability to utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for testing electrical systems.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in budgeting and contract management.
