- Conduct insulation resistance tests, earth loop impedance tests, and polarity checks using multimeters and megger testers to verify circuit integrity.

- Coordinate with MEP teams to integrate electrical systems with HVAC control wiring, fire alarm systems, and BMS (Building Management Systems).

- Ensure proper installation and alignment of distribution boards, switchgear, MCCBs, and RCBOs, verifying load balancing and fault protection settings.

- Supervise the installation of lighting systems, including LED fixtures, emergency lighting, and dimming controls, ensuring compliance with lux level requirements.

- Perform functional testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including emergency backup generators and UPS systems, to ensure operational reliability.

- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical faults, such as short circuits, ground faults, or voltage drops, using diagnostic tools like clamp meters and thermal imagers.

- Verify the installation of earthing systems, including main earth electrodes and bonding conductors, to meet DEWA and UAE fire safety standards.

- Monitor the use of specialized tools like cable pullers, hydraulic crimpers, and torque wrenches to ensure precise and safe installations.

- Coordinate with storekeepers to confirm availability of materials like XLPE cables, PVC conduits, and junction boxes, ensuring proper storage in Dubai’s high-temperature environment.

- Review and update as-built drawings, incorporating red-line markups for cable routes, panel schedules, and equipment locations.

- Conduct continuity and insulation tests for fire alarm and low-current systems, ensuring integration with central monitoring panels.

- Lead daily toolbox talks, emphasizing safe work practices for live circuits, working at heights, and confined space entry, adhering to UAE HSE regulations.

- Assign tasks to electricians and helpers based on skill levels, ensuring efficient execution of tasks like cable tray fabrication and panel wiring.

- Train junior electricians on proper termination techniques, use of testing equipment, and compliance with Dubai Municipality electrical codes.

- Resolve on-site technical issues, such as incorrect cable sizing or improper gland selection, coordinating with consultants for solutions.

- Maintain daily logs of manpower, material usage, and work progress, submitting reports to the MEP site engineer.

- Ensure proper calibration and operation of testing equipment, such as earth testers and RCD testers, to meet project quality standards.

- Coordinate with subcontractors for specialized tasks like ELV (Extra Low Voltage) installations or lightning protection systems.

- Mitigate risks of electrical hazards by enforcing lockout-tagout procedures and ensuring PPE compliance (e.g., insulated gloves, arc-flash suits).

- Liaise with DEWA inspectors to facilitate approvals for temporary and permanent power connections.
