Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Systems Management

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems (LV/MV panels, transformers, generators, UPS, batteries).
  • Ensure integrity and performance of motors, drives (VFDs/Soft Starters), MCCs, power control centers, and lighting systems.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance for all electrical assets.

2. Instrumentation & Controls

  • Manage and maintain plant instruments including flow, level, pressure, temperature transmitters, analyzers, control valves, and actuators.
  • Calibrate and service instrumentation equipment according to maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot DCS/PLC-related issues and support process automation improvements.

3. Process Automation (PLC/DCS/SCADA)

  • Support programming, logic modification, and control loop tuning under direction of senior engineers.
  • Monitor system performance and coordinate with OEM/automation vendors when required.

4. Maintenance Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for E&I assets.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, technical documentation, drawings, and equipment history.
  • Lead or assist in shutdown, turnaround, and emergency maintenance activities.

5. Compliance, Safety & Standards

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and industry standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA, etc.).
  • Participate in root-cause analysis for electrical or instrumentation failures.
  • Enforce LOTO and electrical safety procedures during maintenance work.

6. Support to Production

  • Provide immediate troubleshooting support to minimize downtime in key areas such as:
  • Polymerization
  • Spinning
  • Utility systems (Boilers, Compressors, Cooling Towers, Chillers, Powerhouse)
  • Optimize equipment performance to support production targets.

Required QualificationsEducation & Experience

  • BE in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in E&I maintenance within continuous process industries (Polyester, Petrochemical, Textiles, Chemical, Power Plant preferred).

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation (transmitters, control valves, analyzers).
  • Good understanding of electrical protection, power distribution, and industrial safety.
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and control logic.
