Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Systems Maintenance
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment including motors, MCC panels, switchgear, transformers, VFDs, power distribution boards, and standby generators.
- Inspect and repair electrical wiring, control circuits, cable trays, and earthing systems.
- Ensure proper load management and monitoring of power supply to critical machinery.
2. Instrumentation Maintenance
- Maintain and calibrate field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- Troubleshoot and repair control valves, solenoid valves, sensors, and pneumatic systems.
- Assist in maintenance of PLC-based systems, DCS loops, and control panels (basic troubleshooting).
3. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Carry out scheduled PM activities for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections, record equipment readings, and identify abnormalities.
- Support predictive maintenance tools such as thermography, insulation resistance testing, and condition monitoring.
4. Breakdown & Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Coordinate with mechanical and production teams during emergencies.
- Ensure temporary restorations are followed by permanent corrective solutions.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs, calibration records, job cards, and shift reports.
- Update spare parts usage and assist in maintaining inventory levels.
- Report recurring issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
6. Safety Compliance
- Implement and strictly follow LOTO, PTW, and electrical safety procedures.
- Ensure safe working practices during maintenance activities.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety drills, and EHS initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: DAE in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Technology
- Experience: 2–5 years in E&I maintenance roles, preferably in Polyester Fiber, Chemical, Petrochemical, Textile, or process industries
- Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of industrial electrical systems, motors, VFDs, PLC basics
- Calibration of field instruments and control valves
- Ability to read electrical and instrumentation drawings
