Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering
- Develop and review electrical engineering deliverables including:
- Single-Line Diagrams (SLD), load lists
- Earthing and lightning protection layouts
- Power distribution layouts
- Cable sizing calculations, cable schedules, and termination schedules
- MCC, DB, transformer, and related equipment specifications
- Evaluate vendor quotations and prepare technical bid evaluations.
- Review vendor documents such as GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and type test reports.
- Supervise site activities including:
- LV/MV equipment installation
- Cable routing, laying, termination, and earthing works
- Electrical testing (IR, HV, continuity, functional checks)
- Support energization activities, motor solo runs, loop checks, and overall commissioning.
Instrumentation Engineering
- Develop and review instrumentation design deliverables:
- P&IDs, Instrument Index, I/O lists
- Datasheets for field instruments and analyzers
- Hook-up drawings, loop diagrams, cable schedules, JB schedules
- Select, size, and specify field instruments and analyzers in line with process requirements.
- Prepare RFQs, review vendor proposals, and perform technical/commercial bid evaluations.
- Review vendor documents, participate in FAT, and handle technical clarifications.
- Supervise field installation, calibration, loop checking, and functional testing activities.
- Support plant commissioning, troubleshoot instrumentation issues, and verify performance.
Control Systems Engineering
- Develop and review control system engineering documents including:
- Control Philosophy, Functional Design Specification (FDS)
- Cause & Effect (C&E) Matrix, Control Sequence Tables (CST)
- Alarm and trip schedules
- PLC/DCS architecture and communication network diagrams
- Configure PLC/DCS/SCADA/HMI systems including:
- Logic development, interlocks, sequences
- HMI graphics, historian setup, reporting, and alarms configuration
- Review control panel designs and wiring diagrams.
- Lead and participate in FAT and SAT for PLC- and SCADA-based systems.
- Coordinate interlock testing, control logic verification, and system commissioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
- 5 to 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of international standards including IEC, ISA, IEEE, ATEX, SIL, HAZOP.
- Hands‑on experience with PLC/DCS platforms such as Siemens, Schneider, Allen Bradley, Yokogawa.
- Solid understanding of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, motors, and motor starters.
- Practical experience in engineering deliverables, vendor document review, FAT/SAT, site supervision, and commissioning.
