Job Summary

The MEP Maintenance Technician is responsible for the continuous operation, troubleshooting, and repair of the facility's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The primary focus is on ensuring a safe, efficient environment through rigorous preventive maintenance (PPM) and rapid response to system failures.

Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Systems & Maintenance

• Install and Repair: Maintain electrical wiring, lighting systems, control panels, and distribution boards.
• Power Management: Oversee emergency power systems, including UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) and backup generators (DG sets).
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical malfunctions using multimeters and circuit diagrams to minimize downtime.
• Load Balancing: Monitor electrical loads to ensure efficiency and prevent system overloads.

2. Mechanical & HVAC Systems

• HVAC Care: Perform routine checks on AC units, AHUs (Air Handling Units), chillers, and ventilation fans.
• Filter & Part Replacement: Replace filters, belts, and motors according to the maintenance schedule.
• Building Automation: Monitor and adjust settings via the BMS (Building Management System) for optimal energy use.

3. Plumbing & Fire Safety

• Plumbing Repairs: Fix leaks, unclog drains, and maintain water pumps, heaters, and storage tanks.
• Fire Protection: Ensure fire alarm systems and sprinklers are functional and compliant with local fire codes.

4. General Maintenance & Safety

• Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Execute scheduled inspections to prevent equipment failure.
• Vendor Coordination: Escort and supervise external contractors during specialized repairs or annual service contracts.
• Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and local building regulations.
• Required Skills & Qualifications

• CategoryRequirementsEducationITI, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Experience3–5 years in facility maintenance (Commercial or Industrial preferred).TechnicalProficiency in reading blueprints, circuit diagrams, and MEP shop drawings.SoftwareBasic knowledge of CMMS (Maintenance software) or BMS platforms.CertificationsValid Electrician License (e.g., Wireman License) is often mandatory.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
