Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems, EOT cranes, and VMC machines to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency of plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of EOT cranes, VMC machines, and other plant electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, control circuits, PLCs, motors, drives (AC/DC), sensors, and relays.
• Maintain and calibrate control systems, limit switches, contactors, and overload relays in cranes and machines.
• Ensure safe operation of EOT cranes, including hoist, trolley, long-travel motors, and braking systems.
• Conduct routine checks for earthing, insulation resistance, and cable connections.
• Implement condition monitoring techniques for predictive maintenance.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and raise requirements for critical spares.
• Prepare maintenance schedules, checklists, and daily reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements (electrical load checks, grounding, PPE usage, LOTO practices).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
• Train operators on safe handling and basic troubleshooting of machines and cranes.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of EOT crane operation and electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience in VMC machine electrical/electronic maintenance.
• Familiarity with PLC, CNC controls, VFDs, and servo drives.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, ISO/TPM practices.
• Team player with ability to work under pressure.
