Lockheed Martin is seeking an Electrical Power Subsystem Engineer to join Space Protection Programs supporting multiple programs. In this role you support current programs with the development of EPS architectures, CONOPs, EPS analysis and the integration of batteries, solar arrays, harnessing, and control electronics.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

What does this role look like?
Lockheed Martin is seeking an Electrical Power Subsystem Engineer to join Space Protection Programs supporting multiple programs. In this role you support current programs with the development of EPS architectures, CONOPs, EPS analysis and the integration of batteries, solar arrays, harnessing, and control electronics.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
- Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system level design and decomposition into requirements.
- Lead trade studies and layout while collaboratively working across the engineering teams.
- Provide design, integration, and engineering support of Electrical systems and products.
- Lead and perform technical analysis of complex system problems and develop solutions to those problems.
- Support technical reviews and be able to present to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of EPS components.
- Troubleshooting and anomaly resolution and support system level testing.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
- Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
- Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.
- Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers.
- Experience in presentations and in written communication skills.
- 3+ years of professional experience for this role.
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Demonstrated experience in power supply design.
- Experience with MATLAB.
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.
- Demonstrated experience working with external vendors as well as internal manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills, and experience presenting to peers, leadership, and/or customers.
- Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems while working effectively in a diverse team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify Root Cause and effectively perform Corrective Actions.
- Technical experience in full life cycle development of hardware including design, integration, and test.
- Experience in development of and/or use of modeling and analysis tools for performing EPS analysis.
- Prior experience as a Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) or Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or Delegate or Integrator roles.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily program operations.
