As an Electrical Reliability Technician focused on PLC systems, you’ll be a key contributor to a major Chicago manufacturing operation. Your mission: ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance across electrical, controls, and instrumentation assets in a food-grade, unionized facility.

Stabilize production by rapidly troubleshooting PLCs, control panels, relays, breakers, communications, and alarm systems.

Own the installation and commissioning of new electrical/controls equipment with minimal supervision.

Diagnose root causes, replace faulty components, and complete high-caliber wiring and terminations.

Optimize and service VFDs, 3‑phase motors, and critical sensors (temperature, pressure, level).

Coach junior technicians, elevating team capability and response times.

Reinforce rigorous safety and sanitation practices in a food-grade environment.

High School Diploma or GED plus a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training.

3+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.

Demonstrated PLC troubleshooting strength and solid electrical fundamentals.

Competence in wiring/testing 3‑phase motors and calibrating industrial instrumentation.

PLC programming exposure (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar vendors).

Control panel installation, build, and troubleshooting experience.

Experience with sanitary or hazardous process instrumentation in food or consumer goods plants.
