Electrical Sales Engineer - UPS & Switchgear
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Engineering degree preferred).

Proven sales experience (typically 3–5+ years) in electrical equipment, preferably UPS systems, switchgear, power distribution, and controls.

Experience in tendering and business development, ideally within the oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors.
Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of UPS systems, power quality, batteries, and electrical distribution systems.

Knowledge of LV/MV switchgear products, protection and control equipment, and relevant standards/specifications.

Awareness of oil & gas project requirements, specifications, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets for UPS systems and switchgear products.

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in oil & gas, petrochemical, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, EPC firms, and end-users.

Conduct client visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to promote solutions and value propositions.

Provide technical consultancy on UPS, LV/MV switchgear to support customer decision-making.

Collaborate with engineering teams to assess customer requirements and propose tailored electrical power solutions.

Respond to technical queries, prepare specifications, and assist in product selection based on industry standards and project needs.

Prepare and submit competitive technical proposals, quotations, and commercial offers in response to RFQs/RFPs and tender invitations.

Prepare and review bid documentation, scope of work, BOQ items, and technical clarifications.

Coordinate with internal teams (Project, procurement, Logistics) to ensure accurate and timely proposal delivery.

Negotiate contract terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms to secure profitable deals.

Support contract execution, order confirmation, and follow-up on delivery milestones.

Monitor market trends, competitor products, pricing, and industry developments in the UPS and switchgear segments.

Provide market intelligence and feedback to product management and leadership for strategic planning.
