Key Responsibilities:
- Lead installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems (e.g., control panels, LT panels, VFDs, PLCs, transformers) in ETP/STP/RO/ZLD projects.
- Create and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLDs), panel and cable layouts.
- Perform load calculations, and select appropriate electrical equipment including VFDs, breakers, contactors, and instrumentation.
- Coordinate effectively with mechanical and process engineers to ensure full system integration.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), cable schedules, panel schedules, and documentation including O&M and project submittals.
- Oversee procurement and vendor coordination for timely and accurate sourcing of electrical components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and control issues during fabrication and testing phases.
- Support production and construction teams on-site, ensuring compliance with electrical safety codes and standards.
- Optimize system designs for energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Maintain effective project coordination, documentation, reporting, and risk mitigation.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in erection and commissioning of electrical systems in wastewater treatment or related industrial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar design tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of panel design, load calculations, power systems, and PLC/SCADA integration.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Tamil or Hindi preferred due to frequent travel and site coordination.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site for project durations.
Preferred Experiences:
- Experience with Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), ETP, RO, MF, UF plant environments.
- Familiarity with IEC standards and regulatory compliance.
- Prior exposure to Site Engineer roles within similar project scopes.
