An Electrical Site Engineer plans, supervises, and manages the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on construction sites, ensuring projects meet technical specs, safety codes, and budgets by coordinating teams, preparing drawings, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining quality standards, bridging design with on-site execution. Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Planning: Review blueprints, create electrical system designs/specifications, and prepare drawings.
- Supervision & Coordination: Oversee technicians, subcontractors, and site teams; coordinate with architects and project managers.
- Installation & Commissioning: Manage the setup, testing, and handover of electrical equipment and systems.
- Quality & Safety: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with electrical codes and project standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and submit work reports.
- Procurement: Assist with specifications and evaluation of electrical materials and equipment.
- Budget & Timeline: Ensure work stays within budget and meets project deadlines.
Core Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuit design, and power systems.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards (NEC, etc.).
- Project management and site supervision experience.
