Electrical Superintendent

The location in Ashdown, (Arkansas, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Electrical Superintendent. This job is full-time permanent.


Electrical Superintendent

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Superintendent to lead and continuously improve the reliability of the mill-wide Electrical Distribution System in a heavy industrial Pulp Mill environment. This role serves as the subject matter expert for electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrade projects and provides leadership for the Central E&I team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion electrical safety and ensure compliance with all applicable standards and safe work practices.
  • Lead electrical reliability and Root Cause Problem Elimination (RCPE) efforts for downtime and slowback events.
  • Serve as the technical authority for mill-wide electrical distribution systems, including medium and low voltage equipment.
  • Support turbine generator electrical repairs, upgrades, and overhauls.
  • Oversee electrical reliability programs including inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades.
  • Track and report key electrical reliability KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and mill-wide projects.
  • Support capital planning and execution for electrical distribution and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical reliability or electrical distribution systems in a heavy industrial environment (pulp & paper preferred).
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with reliability tracking systems and standard computer applications.

This is a safety sensitive position.
