Electrical Superintendent

Position Summary

Chapman Electrical Contracting, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Electrical Superintendent to oversee and manage industrial electrical projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, extensive technical knowledge, and the ability to supervise field personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Field Supervision — Direct, coordinate, and oversee daily activities of electrical crews of five or more on industrial job sites.
  • Project Execution — Ensure all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, NEC requirements, and Chapman Electrical Contracting standards.
  • Scheduling & Resource Management — Plan and allocate labor, materials, and equipment to maintain project timelines and productivity.
  • Safety Oversight — Enforce OSHA and company safety policies; conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections.
  • Technical Problem‑Solving — Interpret electrical drawings, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication — Serve as the primary on‑site liaison for clients, contractors, inspectors, and project management personnel.
  • Quality Assurance — Monitor workmanship, verify installation accuracy, and maintain documentation as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading crews of 5 or more.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, industrial electrical systems, and construction methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent.
  • Experience managing large‑scale industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in project documentation, reporting, and digital tools.
