We’re growing fast at Dec-Elec Ltd, and we’re looking for an experienced, proactive Electrical Supervisor to help us manage our projects, lead our team, and keep standards sky-high.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Acting as one of our Qualified Supervisors (QS), making sure all work is up to British Standards.
• Leading and supporting our engineers, apprentices, and subcontractors as we scale up.
• Carrying out pre-installation and post-installation inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
• Spotting and fixing poor-quality work before it becomes’ s a problem.
• Supporting the office team with quoting and pricing projects.
• Managing project budgets, ordering materials, and keeping labour costs in check.
• Planning materials and schedules so everything runs like clockwork.
• Overseeing health & safety on sites — toolbox talks, site inspections, and more.
• Helping apprentices grow and supporting the team with regular 1-to-1s and SMART goal setting.
• Running weekly progress meetings with the director.
• Keeping on top of stock, tools, and vehicle checks.
• Making sure certifications, EICRs, and job tracking systems are always up to date.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 3 years' experience in a similar Electrical Supervisor or Contracts Manager role.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations.
• 2391 or equivalent in Inspection, Testing, and Certification.
• Up-to-date 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• SMSTS is a bonus, but not essential.
• Experience in solar PV and battery storage is desired.
• Someone who’s confident, organised, and a great communicator.
• Able to manage multiple projects and stay calm under pressure.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word and be very computer literate.
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, and ready to take ownership of a large growing team.
