Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure smooth and safe operation of machinery, lighting, power distribution, and control systems in the facility or project site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery to avoid breakdowns.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Repair and maintain control panels, circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new machines or equipment.
  • Coordinate with other technicians and departments for efficient workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly to supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • ITI / Diploma in Electrical or related technical field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control circuits.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Awareness of safety procedures and electrical codes.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs and automation (preferred).

Working Conditions:

  • May be required to work in industrial or construction environments.
  • Flexible to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as required.
