Electrical Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and plant machinery.
• Attend electrical faults in kilns, dryers, hydraulic presses, ball mills, conveyors, elevators, and glazing lines.
• Assist in wiring, termination, and testing of motors, sensors, limit switches, and safety devices.
• Monitor electrical loads and ensure proper power distribution.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, SOPs, and plant safety rules.
• Maintain electrical maintenance logs and daily work reports.
• Coordinate with mechanical and production teams during shutdowns.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Good understanding of industrial electrical systems in ceramics plants.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Motors and motor control circuits
• Control panels and MCCs
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
