Electrical Technician

Job Summary

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, commission, and maintain electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, control panels, and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing instruments and carry out effective repairs.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per planned schedules.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with safety standards, local regulations, and project specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and report defects, risks, and non-conformities.
  • Assist in upgrading or modifying electrical systems when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work completed.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades during site activities.
  • Strictly follow HSE procedures and use proper PPE at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma / ITI / Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Technician.
  • Good knowledge of LV systems, wiring, panels, motors, and basic control circuits.
  • Familiarity with testing tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
