A/C Technician

Scope and General Purpose of Job:

· Repair and maintenance and provide technical attention to all Electrical & Mechanical refrigeration systems of the hotel.

· Preventative Maintenance of all air conditioning and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel.

· To ensure the complete comfortable air conditioning in the Hotel. In terms of indoor temperature, humidity, freshness of air and hygienic environment for the satisfaction of guests as well as to maintain stored food in its best fresh conditions and to maintain the required temperature for food and beverages materials/supplies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Check on performance of refrigeration systems and components.

· Verification of door closing systems on walk in coolers/freezer (door gaskets/latches)

· Check and maintain all defrosting systems and automation of ice makers.

· Works on maintenance request from all departments

· Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air handling unit filters

· Check on performance of air conditioning and chill water system

· Cooperate with all Engineering staff in detention of failures of air condition and refrigeration system and function set up.

· Overhauling of air condition/refrigeration equipment and systems

· Strict control of venting of CFG’s to atmosphere

· Check of refrigeration and oil levels and control of major repairs

· Control and ensure the storage of ice when bans are full and not in use

· Cooperate and inform engineering storekeeper on purchase of parts.

· To monitor the different types of temperature i.e. indoor and outdoor temperature, chiller, fan coils, air handling units, air supply temperatures, etc.

· To prepare preventative maintenance schedule.

· To maintain the cleanliness of all condensing unit, chillers, fan coil units and air handlers

· To maintain the performance of chilled water pumps.

· To ensure that all coolers and freezers are working properly to maintain the desired storage temperatures.

· To ensure that the work done by subordinates is according to specified standard.

· To ensure that all related tools are in safe place and in working condition.

· To follow the preventative maintenance chart strictly and to maintain records for future reference.

· To coordinate with other departments and ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress and also to create good relationship in between inter departments.

· To create on the job training amongst Engineering staff and create opportunities for them to be able to handle to a limited scale.

· To monitor the different types of temperature i.e. indoor and outdoor temperature

· To abide by the rules of the Hotel and act as an example to others.

· To come up with suggestion that may help to improve the maintenance and performance of system.

· To carry out any other relevant tasks that are assigned.

· To undergo training of intersection of Engineering Department
