The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facilities and associated infrastructure.

Skills
  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, panels, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults using testing and diagnostic tools (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, etc.).
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment such as:
  • Distribution boards and switchgear
  • Motors and motor control centers (MCCs)
  • Lighting systems
  • Control panels and protection devices
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
  • Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation.
  • Support energy efficiency and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures strictly.
