Job Summary:
The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and equipment failures.
- Install, repair, and replace electrical components, wiring, motors, and control panels.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare technical reports.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/DAE in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, control panels, and wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
