Electrical technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to perform operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within facilities. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and efficient functioning of electrical installations while supporting the overall facilities management and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in power distribution systems, lighting systems, control panels, and related equipment.
• Monitor the performance of electrical systems and report any abnormalities or maintenance requirements.
• Attend breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance personnel to ensure smooth facility operations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Assist in the installation, modification, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• ITI Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Operations & Maintenance of MEP systems and Facilities Management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, control panels, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Experience in healthcare facilities maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Electrical technician: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• ITI certification (Preferred)
