Job Summary
Our client, a leading Industrial Automation and Electrical Services Company, is looking for skilled and motivated Electrical Technicians on a 6-month contractual basis to support ongoing electrical installation, commissioning, maintenance, and project execution activities at client sites. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems and be committed to delivering quality work while complying with HSE standards and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, wiring, cable laying, cable termination, and panel wiring as per approved drawings and project specifications.
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical equipment, control panels, motors, switchgear, and associated systems.
- Perform cable glanding and termination for LV control and power cables.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of industrial electrical and automation systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and technical documentation.
- Conduct electrical testing using appropriate testing instruments and record test results.
- Identify electrical faults and perform corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed according to applicable electrical codes, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Follow Permit to Work (PTW) procedures and comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements before commencing work.
- Maintain tools, testing instruments, and equipment in safe and serviceable condition.
- Coordinate with Project Engineers, Supervisors, and other technical teams to complete assigned tasks within project deadlines.
- Maintain proper documentation of completed work and report progress to the site supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to company and client Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements.
Qualifications
- DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineering) in Electrical Technology or equivalent.
- Technical certification in Electrical Installation or Industrial Electrical Systems will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in industrial electrical installation, maintenance, or project execution.
- Experience in industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, oil & gas, power, utilities, or industrial automation projects will be preferred.
- Experience with EPC contractors or electrical project environments is an advantage.
