Electrical Technician (HVAC Systems)

Job Summary

Power Solutions & Climate Control is looking for a skilled and dedicated Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team in Karachi. This role requires a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electrical with a strong focus on the electrical components and control systems of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) units. If you are proficient in reading schematics, diagnosing faults, and ensuring the seamless operation of industrial climate systems, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning: Install, connect, and test electrical power and control wiring for various HVAC equipment, including package units, chillers, and Air Handling Units (AHUs).
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Efficiently diagnose and rectify electrical faults in HVAC systems, including control circuits, motors, compressors, relays, contactors, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled electrical maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and efficiency of all HVAC electrical components.
• Documentation: Accurately read, interpret, and work with electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
• Safety Compliance: Uphold the highest safety standards by ensuring all electrical work strictly adheres to national and local safety codes and regulations.

Essential Requirements

• Education: Must hold a Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Electrical Technology from a recognized Pakistani technical board/institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of practical experience as an Electrical Technician, with specific, verifiable experience in the HVAC/R domain (installation and maintenance).
• Technical Expertise: Proven proficiency in:
• Single and three-phase power distribution.
• Motor control circuits and fault-finding.
• Using advanced electrical testing equipment (megger, multimeter, clamp meter).
• Location: Must be based in or willing to commute to Karachi.
