Job Description

MAX360 is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical VDC Technical Office Engineer to join our international engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality electrical shop drawings and BIM models, coordinating with other disciplines, and applying BIM and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) methodologies to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all project phases. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse international projects and advance your expertise in electrical systems and BIM workflows.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, layouts, and schematic diagrams based on project specifications.

· Develop and manage BIM models to ensure accurate coordination with architectural, structural, and mechanical trades.

· Apply BIM and VDC processes to detect clashes, resolve conflicts, and optimize project delivery.

· Review design documents to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables.

· Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare material schedules/BOQs.

· Draft and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to address unclear or missing design details.

· Provide technical guidance to site teams and support with design updates.

· Produce comprehensive as-built drawings for project closeout.

Qualifications

· 1–3 years of experience in electrical drafting, BIM/CAD engineering, and technical coordination.

· Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of Navisworks and electrical design software (e.g., DIALux, ETAP) is a plus.

· Strong understanding of electrical systems: lighting, power distribution, low current, and grounding.

· Above-average English communication skills for effective coordination with international clients and teams.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and deliver under pressure.

· Familiarity with U.S.-based electrical codes and practices is an advantage.

Additional Qualifications

· Knowledge of U.S. electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70, etc.).

· Experience across diverse building types (residential, commercial, industrial, institutional).

· Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment.

· Strong understanding of BIM coordination processes and LOD standards.

· Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers/drafters.
