Electrical/Mechanical AutoCAD Operator

Job Summary:

The AutoCAD Operator is responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering drawing activities including mechanical and electrical for the security / fire system’s installation. He will be also responsible for keeping well-organized drawings records, electronic and paper, for future retrieval. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

·Generate Project drawings lists and maintain records of all submissions including revision, status, dates of submissions, etc.

·Preparation all types of engineering drawings including Design, IFC, As-Built, Single Line Diagrams, Pipes & Instruments Diagrams, Isometric views, etc. for all new facilities and for field modifications.

·Communication skills

·Adequate knowledge of security, electrical/ fire alarm/firefighting systems standards.

·English Language (Excellent).

·Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) systems.

·Consider integration and detailed understanding of multiple key factors during the course of design such as design criteria, coordination & interface with other trades, clarity and accuracy of document and sound engineering practice.

·Perform visits to site and sit with direct supervisor and engineers to make sure full understanding of system installation construction and conformity to design plans.

·Maintenance and operation of engineering library including records and catalogues, issues and receipts, securing books and drawings.

·Work directly with engineers to pick up measurement, levels and details from field.

·Extract 1st, 2nd & 3rd Fix Material List from all Issued For Construction Dwgs and share with his superior for further processing ·In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the employee may be asked to perform other related duties when requested. Qualifications

·Technical Diploma in Engineering

. Drawing with a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience.

·Considerable knowledge of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation drawings.

·Through knowledge of engineering drafting techniques and minor civil engineering work
