About ASI: ASI specializes in custom drying, curing, and cooling solutions for the converting and continuous process industries. We design and manufacture all of our custom drying solutions in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and serve all facets of the flexible web-based and continuous processing industries. As an industry leader for over 36 years, our forced air convection systems employ a variety of web transport methods, including air flotation, roll-support, and through-air conveyor and belt dryers. All of our dryers are custom designed to meet the specific drying needs, control requirements, and spatial constraints of our customers.
Duties: ASI is seeking a qualified candidate to lead its electrical and dress out department.
Responsibilities include:
- Reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and specifications and assembling components per drawings
- Routing, wiring, assembling, and installing electrical components, including relays, switches, gauges, and safety devices on main panels, terminal boxes, and dryer and plenum boxes according to specifications and drawings
- Determining layout for and mounting conduit and electrical devices on dryer body and plenums, including sensors, switches, lights, transmitters, and more
- Assembling and mounting gas trains, burners, safety devices, limit switches, and other related components on plenum/dryer boxes
- Pulling wire to accessories and components
- Conducting functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harnesses, and plugs
- Performing quality checks on electrical writing, including main control cabinets, distributed junction boxes and cabinets, and field devices
- Assisting with fabrication, including in machine department, tack welding, or other tasks, when not performing electrical and dress out duties
- Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Technical degree, relevant skills, or experience
- 6+ years working in an electrical, panel, or dress out department
- Proficient knowledge of electricity, electrical circuits, and electrical schematics
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical and pneumatic drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Mechanical aptitude
- Detail oriented
- Team player
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with little direction
- Excellent communication, language, writing, and organization skills
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
