Electrician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. The role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, reading technical diagrams and blueprints, and working independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities: • Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.• Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.• Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.• Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.• Replaces circuit breakers as needed.• Performs other related duties as assigned.• Perform both reactive and planned preventive maintenance of DB’s, LV rooms etc• Ability to read electrical drawings.• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, CCTV, access controls and other electrical systems• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them• Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.• Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units• Light AC and plumbing works and helping duties as and when requiredQualifications • A Graduate in any discipline with 4+ years in this role.• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Required & Preferred Skills• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people and general public.• Ability to deal with employees from multi-cultural backgrounds.• Ability to work independently.
