Electrician

Arabian Machinery & Heavy Equipment Company (AMHEC) operates in crane rental, heavy lifting, transportation, and heavy equipment rental services since 2008. An impressive facility management presence began in 2017 at major rig sites in Saudi Arabia for ARAMCO contractors. AMHEC maintains a fleet of more than 200 heavy duty hydraulic cranes with capacities ranging from 50 tons to 500 tons.

Description

Job Purpose: The main purpose of the Electrician position is to perform all electrical repairs, inspection, and troubleshooting.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot heavy and light equipment electric systems, controllers, and sensors.
• Service, repair, and overhaul/replace electrical components (e.g., starter motors, alternators, monitors, displays and camera systems) on allocated equipment.
• Perform inspections on equipment allocated for repairs to ensure complete and progressive preventative maintenance and safety standards.
• Manage on-site repairs and maintenance as required.
• Travel to client locations to perform required maintenance activities.
• Install and repair wiring systems.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic issues and propose a course of action.
• Repair and replace faulty wiring or electrical components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mobile cranes and aerial work platforms as needed.
• Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist and maintain a clean workshop/work area.
• Follow safe work procedures and complete risk assessments before commencing any work.
• Identify parts for replacement and equipment for repairs.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs for heavy equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of serviced equipment and report status to the direct manager.
• Keep the direct manager informed of any issues with equipment; complete job reports and related paperwork.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the direct manager.

HSE Responsibility

• Identify Health, Safety, or Environmental risks and implement measures to mitigate these risks.
• Comply with established health and safety guidelines and ensure the welfare of self and others.
• Identify and report risks to management and cooperate with supervisor instructions.

QHSE Authority

• Contribute to the quality management system (QMS) by implementing processes in line with roles and responsibilities.
• Participate in training to develop and maintain necessary competence and apply it to work activities.
• Follow documented procedures and control of production and service provision, and report changes/nonconformities with corrective actions.

Qualification

• High school technical diploma or equivalent.
• Electric diagrams, CAN Bus, and overhauling of electric/electronic components.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Hand and power tool skills.
• Driving license.
