Job Purpose: The main purpose of the Electrician position is to perform all electrical repairs, inspection, and troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot heavy and light equipment electric systems, controllers, and sensors.
- Service, repair, and overhaul/replace electrical components (e.g., starter motors, alternators, monitors, displays and camera systems) on allocated equipment.
- Perform inspections on equipment allocated for repairs to ensure complete and progressive preventative maintenance and safety standards.
- Manage on-site repairs and maintenance as required.
- Travel to client locations to perform required maintenance activities.
- Install and repair wiring systems.
- Diagnose electrical and electronic issues and propose a course of action.
- Repair and replace faulty wiring or electrical components.
- Perform preventative maintenance on mobile cranes and aerial work platforms as needed.
- Adhere to an inspection procedure checklist and maintain a clean workshop/work area.
- Follow safe work procedures and complete risk assessments before commencing any work.
- Identify parts for replacement and equipment for repairs.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs for heavy equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of serviced equipment and report status to the direct manager.
- Keep the direct manager informed of any issues with equipment; complete job reports and related paperwork.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the direct manager.
HSE Responsibility
- Identify Health, Safety, or Environmental risks and implement measures to mitigate these risks.
- Comply with established health and safety guidelines and ensure the welfare of self and others.
- Identify and report risks to management and cooperate with supervisor instructions.
QHSE Authority
- Contribute to the quality management system (QMS) by implementing processes in line with roles and responsibilities.
- Participate in training to develop and maintain necessary competence and apply it to work activities.
- Follow documented procedures and control of production and service provision, and report changes/nonconformities with corrective actions.
Qualification
- High school technical diploma or equivalent.
- Electric diagrams, CAN Bus, and overhauling of electric/electronic components.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Hand and power tool skills.
- Driving license.
