Electrician

Basic Electrician Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
• Set up lighting, fans, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, and distribution boards.
• Assist in installing electrical control panels and industrial machinery wiring.
• Inspect electrical systems and components for faults or damage.
• Replace or repair defective parts such as wires, fuses, or switches.
• Ensure all equipment is safe and functioning properly.
• Use testing tools (like multimeters or testers) to locate electrical faults.
• Diagnose issues in wiring, connections, or circuits.
• Resolve power supply issues efficiently.
• Follow all electrical codes, safety procedures, and company standards.
• Ensure proper grounding and insulation of all electrical installations.
• Use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while working.
• Maintain records of repairs, installations, and inspections.
• Report major issues or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Assist senior electricians or engineers on large projects.
• Help plan electrical layouts during construction or renovation.
• Coordinate with other maintenance or technical staff.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and circuits.
• Ability to read simple electrical drawings or diagrams.
• Use of hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Understanding of safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
