The Electrician plays a vital role in supporting the university’s mission to provide a safe, innovative, and student-centered learning environment. As a key member of the Physical Plant department, this position ensures the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical systems across campus—including academic buildings, research labs, residence halls, and public spaces.
This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to high-quality service. Success in this position comes from a blend of hands-on electrical skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and clear communication with colleagues and campus stakeholders.

Appointment Type: This position will be filled as a Probationary Appointment.
Location: Louisiana Tech University Physical Plant-Ruston, LA
Work Schedule: The typical work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4pm. May be required to work some overtime, weekends, or holidays.
Annual Salary: $40,914 - $73,632
