Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable qualified Electrician to help us & provide electrical support to our valued local customer base. We are NIC EIC Approved contractors & we also hold MCS accreditation. This enables us to installing solar & battery systems for our customers due to demand.. An opportunity to expand in this field is also available. The majority of our work is within 5 miles of Burnham-on-Sea so no nationwide travel is required. Usual working hours are 8am to 4.30pm with the option of overtime if you want . Days & times can be flexible if required for the right applicant.
Duties
- Install, test, and commission electrical systems in new builds or existing structures
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical installations to identify potential issues
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using hand tools and power tools efficiently
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and electrical codes
- Document work performed and update maintenance records accurately
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time
- Assist in planning electrical layouts for new installations or renovations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety standards
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters
- Experience working with power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: £18.00-£23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
