Electrician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable qualified Electrician to help us & provide electrical support to our valued local customer base. We are NIC EIC Approved contractors & we also hold MCS accreditation. This enables us to installing solar & battery systems for our customers due to demand.. An opportunity to expand in this field is also available. The majority of our work is within 5 miles of Burnham-on-Sea so no nationwide travel is required. Usual working hours are 8am to 4.30pm with the option of overtime if you want . Days & times can be flexible if required for the right applicant.

Duties

• Install, test, and commission electrical systems in new builds or existing structures
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical installations to identify potential issues
• Troubleshoot electrical faults using hand tools and power tools efficiently
• Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations and electrical codes
• Document work performed and update maintenance records accurately
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects on time
• Assist in planning electrical layouts for new installations or renovations

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety standards
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters
• Experience working with power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £18.00-£23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
